This project includes demolition of the existing pretreatment building and equipment and construction of new headworks, septage receiving, and fine screening facilities. Improvements include new screening and grit removal systems, flow measurement, odor control, and equipment required to support the membrane bioreactor (MBR) process.
The project converts three existing aeration tanks from an MLE process to a four-stage Bardenpho process and added a fourth aeration tank, with provisions for future expansion. Additional improvements include an aeration basin splitter structure, intermediate pumping station, MBR system and process building, modifications to the existing blower building, and replacement of existing effluent pumps.
Supporting work includes new and upgraded electrical service, standby power, instrumentation and process controls, HVAC, plumbing, plant water systems, and associated site improvements including yard piping, drainage, grading, and landscaping.
