This project is comprised of the installation of two final clarifiers, a return sludge pump station, an ultraviolet disinfection facility, modifications to the influent pump station and yard piping, and appurtenances as indicated on the drawings and as specified herein. The Bucklin Point WWTF is to remain in operation during the construction period. Additional work includes:
• Two new secondary clarifiers and a new return sludge pumping station
• Modifications to the existing influent pump station include the replacement of two pumps
• New ultraviolet disinfection building housing UV equipment and electrical room and effluent flood pumping system
• Yard piping and culverts including new piping and connections to existing systems.
• Modifications to existing final clarifiers including the addition of launder covers and instrumentation
• Stormwater system improvements, site modifications including grading and pavement
• Handling of groundwater (i.e., collection and discharge to the Seekonk River) including obtaining RIPDES permit and any required treatment
• Electrical duct banks, manholes and SCADA programming.
